Before we talk about this magnificent color, I need to confess I'm feeling a slight panic about not purchasing its counterpart Forget-Me-Not. Should I have? Is it possible that I don't need that beautiful purple creme?! I'm trying to cut down on nail polish purchases because of the sheer amount that I haven't even begun to use in my stash, so help me dear readers: will I regret not doing it?
While I pace back and forth before the metaphorical Dior counter in my mind, let us sigh at the marvelousness that I did immediately snatch up. I purchased Waterlily sight unseen, in fact before I even returned to the States (bliss is having a package waiting for me fresh out of the plane).
And why not. I can say without a doubt I have nothing like this in my stash. I don't care for the overwhelming scent that accompanies application, which lingers on your nails throughout the day. After that you'll have to hold your fingers to your nose to detect a faint whiff. It's unpleasant for me but I'd apply it again and again for this gorgeous mint green, which for some reason, makes me crave mint chocolate chip ice cream.
Dior Waterlily retails for $23 and is available at major department stores. I purchased mine from dior.com. Get it. Get it now!
So pretty!!!! Smells though, hey?
ReplyDeleteI skipped this though-I have Chanel Jade and it's kind of similar. Or is it?
Oh my gosh... OH. MY. GAAASH! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteGonna look around for a dupe :p.
this color looks so perfect on you! I wasn't a fan of the scent either, but the polish is so damn pretty I can't part with it <3
ReplyDeleteIt does have a pretty color. I like that shade of green a lot.

This looks gorgeous! I am not sure how this would look on my hands, but it looks wonderful on you!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty on you! Love the subtle shimmer.
ReplyDeleteAm also loving this but wondering if I'm missing out on not having the other! Let me know if you go for it!
ReplyDeleteMint choc chip ice cream! That is exactly what I am craving right now after seeing your nails. This colour is gorgeous! I definitely haven't got anything in my collection that resembles this either!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful color!!! However those are colors for the younger set. A color like that on my hands would scream "look at my veiny old hands."
ReplyDeleteWaterlily is SUCH a beautiful color! Pastel green seems to be a trend this spring :)
ReplyDeleteI encourage you to NOT buy the purple creme (see, I'm being a non-enabler!); I think there are much prettier purples out there (like Chanel Paradoxal--*wink wink* okay, so the non-enabling didn't last long). Waterlily looks much more unique.
ReplyDeleteI feel like polish should not need to be scented. I think this is the prettier color (vs. Forget-Me-Not) but I persuaded myself I did not need it.
ReplyDeleteWaterlily is so pretty, I've definitely been admiring it from afar for some time now (just like I admired Chanel Jade when it came out, I can't decide if I prefer that one or this one).
ReplyDeleteAs for Forget-Me-Not, I'm probably biased because I've never been a very big fan of purple cremes, but I think that this is the prettier/more unique of the two.
Omg...that is one gorgeous nail polish. W-O-W. It's actually such a different mint color too!
