Le Métier de Beauté Nude Polishes

I'm not big on nude nail polish. They're typically reserved for interviews, and even so I still go for edgier nudes, like the holographic goodness of Butter London All Hail The Queen, or a mushroom taupe like Rescue Beauty Lounge Grunge, or even Chanel Particuliere. It's not that I have anything against a good nude polish (I'm sure there are plenty), it's just ballet whites and pinks usually clash with my skin. I guess it's a good thing I didn't grow up doing ballet, though a huge part in me is rueful about my utter lack of grace.

So maybe I'm just making up for not learning how to dance like a swan, but I purchased three of these. Watch me use it and descend into despair because demure pinks and me just cannot happen.

Each of these polishes retail for $18. Tomorrow will be the final installment of this nail series, and I definitely saved the best for last!

  1. Well, if it's any consolation, you LOOK graceful in your pics, xiao! :)

  2. My collection has a huge gaping hole, and it's elegant nudes. Except for Love Poemes, all of them are calling my name! They're not streaky, are they?

  3. Are any of them opaque nude colors, or are they sheer?

    Loving this series - thanks!

  4. I don't wear nudes very much either. But I like these. I like all of the LMDB polishes you've shown us actually, and I'm kind of dreading tomorrow's post (my guess is that it's going to be the one that finally makes my willpower crumble).

Which of these nudes did you buy? I think my favorites are Mon Petit Cheri and Ma Belle Amie.

  5. Girlie Blogger- Something about my skintone and pinks :(

Also, I would appreciate it very much if you do not include a direct link in the comments section :) Your blog is accessible through your Blogger profile and I just prefer to leave the comment section free of links. Thank you!

Isla- oh girl consolation is an understatement. Had a huge grin on my face when I read that!

Leigh- Don't think so (haven't tested them and they're now back in Boston. So sorry I can't give accurate analysis) The first three seem really sheer though. I purchased Mon Petit Cheri, Ma Belle Amie and Tussled Tulle.

Jamilla Camel- They're like the Le Metier hidden gems!

Adele- I'm sorry but I don't know yet and I can't try them on since I left them in Boston (I'm currently out of country) :( I hope someone tries them out and comments soon

Makeup Morsels- Yes I got those, and Tussled Tulle as well. Which in retrospect might be a bad idea. I bet that pink is just gonna wither on my fingertips :(
