Illamasqua Underworld and Tantrum

I'm convinced I have the smartest readers! Illamasqua Underworld is indeed one half of the equation, with Tantrum Sheer Lipgloss making up the other half.

Underworld is a pink-violet duochrome that goes on sheer and is almost impossible to build-up without drying out the lips. I wouldn't recommend wearing this alone unless all you want is a vague pink-violet sheen. Tantrum, on the other hand, is a pretty straightforward grape (even smells like grape!) gloss.

I didn't like Underworld till I layered Tantrum over it. What was patchy and uneven became the amazing shown above. 

I'm not sure if Underworld is a limited edition product. It's not currently listed on Sephora's website. Thankfully, for those interested, Tantrum is still available for $20.

    Breathtaking, that last photo is amazing. I've taken to layering a whole heap of my lip products lately to find new loves, this one is a winner for sure well done

    i love purple on you! glad that the two combined makes this pretty lip. i agree with you, the lipstick seems patchy

    Wow that's not a shade I would have originally picked but it looks awesome on you! I have a MAC lipstick... From the Dame Edna Collection I think called Gladiola and it reminds me of that, but a little darker.

    I think I need that Ara Red for the upcoming Holiday season. Then I will promptly make my husband take me out on many dates just so it can be my "date night" lipstick!

    @emmabovary a girl after my own heart! Layering shades and mixing colors are all I do now. Need at least three colors in my bag at all times
